Position: Patient Care Technician/Phlebotomist – Lab Services   Hours: Full Time/40 hpw   Key Responsibilities: PCT is expected to have a well-rounded skill set of venipuncture, capillary blood collection, and IV line starts on patients of all demographic types while adhering to the order of draw and ensuring proper patient identification. PCT will ensure that each patient order is collected using proper technique including positive patient identification, AIDET, sterile technique, anxiety reducers, and excellent customer service. Minimizing recollects due to QNS, hemolysis, mislabeling, or improper tube collect is our common goal. A blood culture contamination rate of less than the standard is expected. Providing the medical technologist with quality specimens free of contamination is the primary goal.   Minimum Requirements: - Education: High School graduate or equivalent. - Certification: BLS through American Heart Association   Skills and Abilities: Must be able to handle stressful situations inherent to collection and dispatch of urgent medical laboratory testing results. Must possess good organizational skills and have the ability to deal effectively with the hospital staff.   Preferences: - Experience: 1 year of phlebotomy experience. Position:  Emergency Medical Resolution Coordinator – Hospitalist Program   Key Responsibilities: The Hospitalist Deficiency Resolution Coordinator provides day-to-day support to the providers of the Hospitalist Program. Assigns patient admissions and hospital census in an Electronic Medical Records system (EMR) to scheduled rounding providers.
